Co-op Adventure is an online co-operative multiplayer game mode that appears in the multiplayer component of Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. The mode serves as a co-op Campaign, uniting players into teams of two or three and tasking them with an objective to complete, while they must also defeat waves of A.I.-controlled enemies.
In Co-op Adventure, two-to-three players are united and tasked with completing an objective, which differs defending on the chapter they are assigned. In all chapters, the players must defeat waves of A.I. enemies.
Co-op Adventure features a narrative that encompasses characters from all three video games in the Uncharted series. Initially there were five chapters, with settings taken from the three video game instalments of the Uncharted series; a prelude to the story was later added as part of downloadable content for the game.
The prelude of the Co-op Adventure, Fort, follows antagonists Zoran Lazarević, Eddy Raja and Harry Flynn as they arrive at the fortress seen in Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, in search of treasure-hunter Nathan "Nate" Drake. However, they instead come across waves of Indian Ocean pirates. After defeating the first wave of pirates, Lazarević, Eddy and Flynn come across two scared pirates, who claim that the island is cursed. After slaying the pirates, Lazarević, Eddy and Flynn continue on through the fortress, defeating two trucks with mounted turrets before coming to the flooded depths of the fortress. There, they must battle the "Djinn"; demons born of smokeless fire. After defeating the Djinn, the trio retrieve a statue depicting the head of the Roman god Janus. Eddy is displeased that they were unable to find Nate, but Lazarević assures him that now they have the statue, Nate will come to them.
The Borneo chapter of the Co-op Adventure is based on the Uncharted 2: Among Thieves chapters Borneo and The Dig. It follows Nate, antique-dealer Victor "Sully" Sullivan and Australian explorer Chloe Frazer as they arrive in Borneo, only to find the area inhabited by Zoran Lazarević's soldiers. After overhearing Lazarević's right-hand man Lieutenant Draza talking to a soldier about containers, Nate, Sully and Chloe decide to find out what the containers are holding. Nate, Sully and Chloe defeat a number of soldiers as they progress through the jungle, opening two containers to reveal pieces of a stone tablet. Eventually, the trio come to the centre of Lazarević's camp, where they must battle a number of soldiers and Draza, who is armed with a Dragon Sniper.
After defeating Draza, the trio open the remaining two containers and piece the four tablets together to reveal the Janus head statue. Although the trio are initially confused as to what the statue means, Nate reveals that he knows their next destination should be London.
 London Underground
Nate, Sully and British thug Charlie Cutter arrive in the London Underground, in Katherine Marlowe's secret hideout. Although Nate wishes to go undetected, the trio soon come under fire from Marlowe's agents. Nate, Sully and Cutter make their way through the great halls of Marlowe's hideout, before coming to an impassable wall. Cutter plants some C4 explosives on the wall, but it fails to detonate, and the trio must instead find an RPG-7 to blow open the wall. After the trio do this, they begin to climb through a gap in the wall - however, as they are doing this the C4 detonates and the trio must dive out of the way to avoid being caught up in the explosion.
After defeating several more agents, Nate, Sully and Cutter come to Marlowe's library, where Nate retrieves a page from a book. Cutter is displeased that they came this far for a page from a book, but Nate assures him that this will lead them to their next location: the monastery. The trio attempt to escape from Marlowe's library, but they are ambushed by a large group of agents. After subduing the agents in the library, the trio make their escape through the abandoned North Atwood underground station, where they must again defeat a number of Marlowe's agents. Nate, Sully and Cutter are able to escape from the underground station onto the streets of London, though here they are ambushed by turrets and heavily-armoured enemies. After defeating the enemies and destroying the turrets, Chloe arrives in a van to pick the trio up, and they make their getaway.
The Monastery chapter of Co-op Adventure begins with Sully, Chloe and journalist Elena Fisher being held captive by the Indian Ocean pirates. One of the captors teases the captured trio by saying they are soon to be killed like Nate was. However, the trio are able to break free from their bonds and advance into a courtyard, where they must battle a number of pirates. After defeating the pirates, Sully, Chloe and Elena continue on through the monastery, and after hearing Nate's voice, enter the church. The trio defeat a number of pirates as they make their way to the back of the church, where they find Nate trapped beneath the altar. Nate leads Sully, Chloe and Elena into the courtyard in front of the church, where a statue holds the next clue to the location of the Janus head.
However, Nate is shot in the leg while leaving the church, and it is up to Sully, Chloe and Elena to defend him as he crosses the courtyard and then begins to investigate the statue. The trio must defeat the pirates, who are attempting to destroy the statue using RPGs and M32-Hammers. Nate is eventually able to retrieve an amulet from the statue and signal a signal a helicopter to come and pick them up. However, the group must defeat several heavily-armoured pirates before Cutter is able to land his helicopter and fly them out of the monastery to safety.
Nate, Sully and Elena arrive in Syria with the amulet retrieved from the monastery statue. After descending a tower, the trio come to a courtyard where they must battle a number of Indian Ocean pirates. After defeating these pirates, Nate, Sully and Elena open a large door, although rockets from a helicopter then knocks the trio down into a flooded chamber. Nate, Sully and Elena are able to climb up the chamber and come to another courtyard, where they must again battle a number of pirates. However, while battling the pirates they must also place idols onto pillars in the courtyard. After defeating Brute and correctly placing the idols, the trio make their way into a tower - however, the staircase is blocked and they must climb around the outside of the tower, battling pirates situated at the top. Nate, Sully and Elena eventually come to the top of the tower, although they are then ambushed by a group of pirates and two helicopters. Nate, Sully and Elena are able to defeat the pirates and destroy the helicopters with RPGs, but they find that there is only half of the Janus head on top of the tower. Nate tells the others that they are going to find Lazarević and ask him where the other half of the head is.
Nate, Sully and Cutter arrive at the Airport to find Lazarević, Eddy and Flynn loading the Janus head onto a plane. After Nate remarks that it is like a "twisted reunion", the trio make their way through the airfield, defeating a number of Lazarević's soldiers as they advance upon the plane. After defeating several groups of Lazarević's soldiers, the trio are almost run down by trucks being driven by Lazarević, Eddy and Flynn. Nate, Sully and Cutter pursue the antagonists to the plane, and engage them in a battle, which they eventually win.
After Lazarević and his allies are defeated, he remarks that Nate is the "better man", to which Nate replies that he just has better friends. Nate, Sully and Cutter make their way to the plane, where they find the Janus head; Nate names one-half after Flynn, and the other half after Eddy - collectively "Fleddy".
Co-op Adventure first appears in the multiplayer component of Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. The game mode was one of the game modes available for use in the beta phase of Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception multiplayer, and seemingly serves as the successor to the Uncharted 2: Among Thieves multiplayer Co-op Objective game mode.
