The KAL-7 first appears in Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. The KAL-7 has a fast rate of fire and high blindfire accuracy. Its clip size, reload speed and maximum ammunition are all average, although it has a low accuracy.

In Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception multiplayer, the KAL-7 is one of five long guns available for use with the player's competitive loadouts, along with the AK-47, G-MAL, Dragon Sniper and M9. The KAL-7 is unlocked and available for use from rank 31.

- Call Out is unlocked at rank 33 and costs $10,000.

- Reload Speed is available for use from rank 42.
- Clip Size is unlocked at rank 48.
- Blindfire Accuracy becomes available at rank 52.
- Rate of Fire can be used from rank 55.
