[edit] Description
The Moss-12 is a shotgun, and therefore it is most effective in close-quarter combat situations. A powerful weapon, it will often defeat enemies in one shot over short distances.
The weapon first appears in the first game in the Uncharted series, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, where it usually wielded by Eddy Raja's pirates. The Moss-12 returns in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, being used by Zoran Lazarević's soldiers. However, in the later chapters of both games, the Moss-12 finds itself being somewhat replaced by the SAS-12, a much more elite shotgun.
Gameplay demonstration videos have revealed that the weapon will also return for Uncharted: Golden Abyss.[1]

- In the multiplayer map The Fort, the Moss-12 is located on top of the fountain in the middle of the map.
[edit] Behind the scenes
The Moss-12 seems to be based somewhat on the real-life Mossberg M500 shotgun, which is used by military forces such as the U.S. Army. The "12" in the weapon's title refers to "12 gauge", the diameter of the gun's barrel.
