Pema Dhondup, born in India, is a Tibetan actor and filmmaker.
Perhaps best known for his direction of the 2004 drama film We're No Monks, Dhondup is the voice of Tibetan mountaineer Tenzin in the Uncharted series.

Pema Dhondup was born in India to Tibetan parents who sought refuge in India after the Chinese occupation of Tibet.[1] After moving to America, Dhondup studied filmmaking at the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts.[2]

Pema Dhondup began his career in 2001, directing the short film Echo. After editing the short film Hope Abandoned, Dhondup embarked on his most notable venture to date, as he wrote, directed and produced the drama film We're No Monks. More recently, he wrote and produced a documentary titled The Last Call.[3]
[edit] Uncharted work
Dhondup's first work in the Uncharted series comes in the 2009 Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, as he voices Tibetan mountaineer Tenzin in the game,[4] while also providing voice work for the Tibetan villagers.[5] In the game, Tenzin’s daughter is named Pema, possibly as a reference to Dhondup.
In the multiplayer component of the 2011 video game Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, Dhondup returns to reprise his role as Tenzin.[6]
