René Auberjonois, born on June 1, 1940 in New York City, New York, is an American actor.
Perhaps best known for his roles in science-fiction television series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and crime drama Boston Legal, Auberjonois is the voice of Karl Schäfer in the Uncharted series.

René Auberjonois was born on June 1, 1940 in New York City, New York. When he was younger, Auberjonois and his family lived in Paris. Auberjonois studied theatre at Carnegie-Mellon University and acted with various theatre companies before becoming a fully-fledged actor.[1]

René Auberjonois started acting in the 1960s, with one of his earliest roles coming in the film adaption of MASH. Auberjonois worked on various television series throughout the 1970s, and captured one of his notable roles in 1980 when he was cast in situation comedy Benson. Auberjonois continued working on various television series throughout the 1980s and 1990s, and would capture another one of his more notable roles when he was cast in the science-fiction series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine in 1993, in a role that would occupy him for six years. More recently, Auberjonois' most prominent work has been on the crime series Boston Legal.[2]

Auberjonois' first work in the Uncharted series comes in the 2009 video game Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. In the game Auberjonois voices Karl Schäfer,[3] a former Nazi who briefly aids primary protagonist Nathan "Nate" Drake.
Auberjonois reprises his role as Schäfer in the multiplayer component of the 2011 video game Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception.[4]

René Auberjonois has been married to his wife since 1963. The couple have two children together; both of whom have pursued careers in acting.[1]
