The Tau Sniper is a pistol that first appears in Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. The gun is very accurate and has an average reload speed. However, its rate of fire, clip size, blindfire accuracy and max ammo are all below average.

In Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception multiplayer, the Tau Sniper is one of four pistols available for the player to use as part of their competitive loadouts, along with the Para 9, Arm Micro and Raffica Pistol.

In Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception multiplayer, there are three modifications that can be added to the Tau Sniper:
- Reload Speed is available from rank 42 for $10,000.
- Call Out can be used from rank 45
- Rate of Fire is unlocked at rank 51.

In Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception multiplayer, there is one variant of the Tau Sniper available for use:
- Chloe's Tau: Named after Uncharted protagonist Chloe Frazer, Chloe's Tau has a red tribal design and has the Call Out and Reload Speed modifications enabled. The Nine Jewel Treasure Set must be completed for the weapon to be unlocked.[1]
