The Dig is the fourth chapter of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. The chapter follows treasure-hunter Nathan "Nate" Drake and antique-dealer Victor "Sully" Sullivan as they infiltrate Serbian war criminal Zoran Lazarević's jungle camp in Borneo.
After Nathan Drake and Victor "Sully" Sullivan detonate the charges the set in the previous chapter, chaos soon follows as they watch Zoran Lazarević and his men spread out over the perimeter. After stealthily passing through a small pack of guards, Drake will reach the cabin in which Zoran had kept all of his maps and recordings. Drake spots an ancient temple within these recordings, and after a huge gunfight with Zoran's stragglers, Drake, Sully and Chloe Frazer meet up outside the ruined temple.
Inside, there are dozens of bodies scattered around, but Drake notices something strange. The ancient corpses have black teeth, and it looked as though they killed each other, for unknown reasons. Nate finds some strange blue resin, similar to that he found in the Turkish museum. Containing the strange material in a torch, he ignites it, casting a ominous blue light over the temple walls. After finding a secret room, the three discover and ancient map leading to Nepal. However, before they can escape, Harry Flynn arrives with a group of mercenaries. Managing to break free, Sully and Nathan make a run for it, following the perilous cliff face until they are forced to dive into the waters below.
The Dig contains three Treasures:
- The Mongol Paiza Passport is located on top of the ship's mast in the middle of Zoran Lazarević's main camp.
- The Jade Belt Slide is found on top of a statue in one of the underground chambers Nathan "Nate" Drake, Victor "Sully" Sullivan and Chloe Frazer explore.
- The Yuan Dynasty Helmet can be found in the room where Nate, Sully and Chloe find Skelzor.
