[edit] Biography

Salim is the Sheikh of a tribe of Bedouin riders that reside in a camp in the Rub' al Khali desert that is less than a day's ride on horseback away from the mythical lost city Iram of the Pillars. Salim is knowledgeable on Iram and a skilled horseman, as it traditional with Bedouin riders. Salim is also bilingual, as he speaks both Arabic and English.[1]

[edit] Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception

In a desert village in the Rub' al Khali desert, Salim leads the Bedouin into battle against a group of Marlowe's agents, who have cornered American treasure-hunter Nathan "Nate" Drake. Salim and the Bedouin defeat the agents, but spare Nate due to his bad condition and allow him to stay in their camp.[1]

That evening, Salim converses with Nate, asking him why Katherine Marlowe is crossing the Rub' al Khali desert. Salim is shocked when Nate responds that Marlowe is searching for Iram; he explains that Iram is a place of evil and Marlowe cannot be allowed to enter the lost city. When Nate explains that Marlowe's caravan is also holding his friend Victor "Sully" Sullivan captive, Salim agrees to aid Nate in attacking the caravan the following day.[1]

At dawn the next day, Salim and Nate ride to meet the rest of the Bedouin, before attacking Marlowe's caravan. Salim and the Bedouin cover Nate as he jumps between his horse and the trucks in the caravan defeating Marlowe's agents. Eventually, the combined forces of Salim's tribe and Nate are able to defeat the trucks at the back of the caravan and they move towards the front, where Sully is being held. Sully is able to escape from the car holding him, but he is then attacked a large agent. As Nate rushes to Sully's aid by attacking the agent, Salim stops Sully from falling off the truck and helps him onto a horse. The truck holding the agent then crashes, signifying the end of the caravan. As Salim and the Bedouin stop to give Nate and Sully some time to regroup, Sully thanks Salim. Salim then urges the group on, saying that Marlowe cannot reach Iram. However, a sandstorm then engulfs the Rub' al Khali, separating Salim and the Bedouin from Nate and Sully, and forcing Nate and Sully to continue into Iram alone.[1]

Later, after Nate and Sully have defeated Marlowe and her right-hand man Talbot, Salim enters Iram on horseback to save Nate and Sully from the mythical city, which is crumbling around them.[1]
